With 30 years in the BC Public Service, Tyann Blewett has worked in a variety of roles in the social and justice sectors with a focus on research, policy development, legislation and stakeholder relations. As the Director of Policy at the Residential Tenancy Branch since 2017, Tyann is committed to balancing the needs of landlords and tenants through legislation, policy and Branch processes.  Introducing protections for tenants during the COVID-19 pandemic was a recent example of the complexity of this work.

At the same time, her team works hard to support the Branch’s dispute resolution function, through policy guidelines, legal interpretation, court challenges, stakeholder relations, communications and revitalization initiatives.
