Prof. Praveen Sandhu is a distinguished professional in the field of arbitration and mediation. She is the founder of Ekaas Resolve, where she currently serves as an arbitrator and mediator. While her primary base is in Canada, her practice extends internationally.

In addition to her work in alternative dispute resolution, Praveen is a dedicated educator. She imparts her expertise as a Professor of Business Law at the University of British Columbia, the institution where she also earned her juris doctor degree.

Praveen’s journey into the world of arbitration and mediation was inspired by years of experience in commercial litigation in Vancouver, Canada. While she cherished the excitement of the courtroom, she made a deliberate shift a few years ago. Praveen pursued advanced education at the University of California, Berkeley, obtained several affiliations on a global scale, and established Ekaas Resolve.

Recognized for her entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional negotiation skills, and keen business acumen, Praveen is fluent in English, French, and Punjabi, and has a working knowledge of Hindi.

On a personal note, she finds immense joy in meditation and yoga, is an avid fitness enthusiast, and embraces the wonders of travel. India holds a special place in her heart, and living in Paris, France for three years was one of her most enriching life experiences.

She is currently a board member of the ADR Institute of British Columbia and this is her third year volunteering her time to help organize the annual online symposium. We are so happy to have her on our team.

Prof. Praveen Sandhu, C.Arb, FCIArb
