My mediation practice is focused on multi-party decision processes to transform conflicted relations arising out of complex problems. I use arts-based techniques, systems thinking, and strategic foresight to invite collaboration so that all are enabled to fully engage with the different ways of carrying and sharing knowledge.
I have worked with Indigenous and non-Indigenous government and community leaders on complex and messy problems such as infrastructure development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, environmental management planning, and regenerative community building. I am member of the Mediators Beyond borders International Climate Change Program and the Creative Arts and Education subcommittees. This fall I will continue my research into the role of creative and embodied imagination in mediation and other decision process as a PhD student in the joint Communication and Culture program hosted by York and Toronto Metropolitan (formerly Ryerson) Universities.
