Angelika is a Berlin-based mediator and coach who has gained experience in contexts as diverse as Germany, Lebanon, Kosovo, and South Africa. With a certificate in Peace and Conflict Work from the Academy of Conflict Transformation in Cologne, Germany, and professional training in mediation and systemic coaching, she has worked in conflict transformation for almost 15 years. Professionally, she is particularly interested in inter-group and community conflicts, and has skills and experience in the fields of transitional justice, peace education, mediation, and community dialogue.
In cooperation with colleagues, Angelika is currently exploring and adapting approaches to support municipalities in Germany in dealing constructively with conflicts in urban society. In these consultancies, she combines elements of conflict analysis, mediation, coaching, and dialogue facilitation. Her work in the municipalities is multi-track, multi-partial, and systemic, including stakeholders from politics, administration, and civil society.
Angelika studied at the University of Cambridge (UK), where she obtained a Bachelor in History, and Master of Philosophy of Political Thought. Her doctorate, also in History, is from the University of Göttingen, Germany
