As the Founder and Principal at Discussions by Design Training & Coaching Services, Brenda supports leaders and their teams by strengthening their communication and conflict management skills so that they enrich their work experience, heighten employee engagement, and become more accountable and committed personally and professionally to their individual and organizational goals.
Previous to launching her private practice, Brenda held numerous leadership positions in management sales and training in the insurance industry.
Since 2011, Brenda has provided coaching, training, and mediation services to private, public & non-profits in Canada and the United States, in particular to the manufacturing, technology, health services and hospitality industries. Brenda is also a service provider for the Federal Government in Canada’s Informal Conflict Management Services.
After receiving her certification in dispute resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia, Brenda obtained her national Chartered Mediator (C.Med) designation from the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC). She continues to support the ADR Institute of Canada and their Provincial affiliate, ADRBC as a national mediation trainer and mediation assessor. She is a past Board Director and Executive for ADRBC and serves on several committees.

- Coach certification in Conversational Intelligence from the CreatingWe Institute
- Coach certification in Employee Engagement from Engage & Grow Global
- International Coaching Federation ACC Designation
Brenda is passionate and committed to assisting leaders to improve employee engagement and support organizational initiatives to increase their leadership pipeline. She accomplishes this by offering a variety of leadership, communication, conflict management, and employee engagement training and coaching programs for individuals and groups such as her popular Redesigning Conflict Program.
In the Fall of 2021, Brenda brought the award winning Engage & Grow Global programs to Canada to round out her suite of products to serve & support HR Professionals and Business Leaders to increase employee experience and engagement.
