Barry Effler is a full-time arbitrator and neutral, having received his Chartered Arbitrator designation in 1996. He has instructed in arbitration for many years. He is a past president of the ADR Institute of Canada and past chair of the national arbitration rules committee. He has received the Lionel J. McGowan National Award for Excellence in the field of Dispute Resolution and the Association of Manitoba Land Surveyors Peter Fidler Award for outstanding contributions to the profession.
