Jake Lowther is a dual-qualified lawyer (Australia & Sweden) working as Legal Counsel at the SCC Arbitration Institute. He is an experienced international arbitration practitioner, having worked in various roles in Australia, Germany, Korea, and Sweden. Prior to joining the SCC, Jake was an associate in the dispute resolution team of a prominent Nordic-Baltic law firm.
Jake is frequently invited to speak at events on arbitration related issues. He is a Visiting Professor of the School of Law at the University of Puerto Rico and has been invited to speak on a range of topics related to international arbitration. Jake has also contributed articles to several publications.
He is committed to the promotion and development of the practice of arbitration to ensure its position as an attractive method of alternative dispute resolution.
