Marcus is the founder of Crossroads Law and Coach My Case. He is a former social worker, certified collaborative divorce lawyer and an accredited family law mediator practicing in Alberta and British Columbia. Marcus has received various legal awards including being selected as one of the top 25 most influential lawyers in Canada in 2021.
Marcus founded Coach My Case in 2021 as a response to the access to justice crisis in Canada. Coach My Case is an alternative legal service provider that assists self- represented litigants with legal coaching so that they can represent themselves with more success and confidence.
Marcus is a regular presenter on legal issues and has presented on access to justice, unbundled legal services, practice management, marketing for lawyers and family law issues to organizations such as the CBA, CLEBC, NSRLP, Canadian Lawyer In-house, and various non-profit and business groups. Marcus has also been interviewed on legal topics by the CBC, Global News, The Globe and Mail, and numerous radio shows and podcasts.
Marcus sits on the B.C. CBA executive for unbundled Legal Services and is a champion of legal coaching.
