Shelley Larson is a communication professor, mediator, trainer, and conflict coach. She is part of a mediation team that was recognized by the Michigan Supreme Court for swiftly and successfully transitioning to mediation in the online format. Since March of 2020, she has personally guided more than one hundred family mediations online. She is a tenured faculty member of Oakland Community College, teaching courses in interpersonal and intercultural communication, conflict resolution, leadership, and business communication. She also provides mediation services in workplace disputes within higher education systems.
She received her Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Wayne State University and Master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Eastern Michigan University. Her facilitative mediation training is from the Oakland Mediation Center and conflict coaching credential is from Cinergy.
