Ashley Syer is a lawyer and mediator in Vancouver, BC. She practices through Syer Law and provides mediation services through Gastown Mediation. Her main areas of focus are tenancy, strata, employment, and general civil matters. She is a passionate advocate of mediation and giving parties the agency to create their own resolutions. She has worked for many years with self-represented parties both in her counsel and mediation work, including as a tribunal member at the Civil Resolution Tribunal.

She recently completed advanced mediation training in complex disputes and consensus building at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law. Ashley has been on the executive of the CBABC ADR Vancouver Subsection for the past five years and is pleased to have been appointed as the newest Board member of the Mediate BC Board.
