Ben is a conflict mediator, consultant and advocate. He worked as an online mediator with eBay and Consumer Protection BC, and for 12 years was a mediator and mentor in the BC Court (Civil) Mediation Program. For many years he was employed as an IT consultant, and assisted in the initial systems design of the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal.  As an advocate, he currently facilitates problem-solving conversations, in-person and online, on behalf of seniors and family caregivers. Ben has led a dozen global virtual work teams, and conducts workshops and blogs on a variety of collaboration and conflict management topics, including virtual collaboration. Ben firmly believes that technology should serve human needs, not the other way around.
